Baked rice

4 cups

Ingredients

2 cups long grain rice or barley
3/4 cups vegetable stock
2 cups water
1 1/2 tablespoon butter
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

Mix the rice or barley with the onion and celery in an ovenproof dish or loaf pan.

Heat up the stock and add the butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix to melt the margarine in. Pour over the rice and mix.

Bake at 350F for 45 minutes to 75 minutes, until done to taste.
