Ingredients
2 cups carrot, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon butter
1 clove garlic, shaved
1/2 teaspoon laos
salt, to taste
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Preparation
Microwave the sliced carrots and water for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes at full power
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the garlic and sauté for 2 - 3 mnutes being careful not to brown garlic.
Add the carrots with the water, salt, and laos to the skillet and cook covered until the carrots reach the desired consistency.
Uncover, add maple syrup, toss to coat completely and cook for a few minutes to reduce the syrup slightly.
